Eugenio
Eugenio is originally from Colombia, South America and grew up in Cali where swimming and salsa dancing were an essential part of growing up. He moved to Austin in 2013 and has been here ever since. Eugenio has been practicing yoga for 20 years and teaching yoga for 8. His classes are influenced by his background in Power Yoga, Ashtanga, and Yoga Nidra. When practicing with Eugenio, you can expect to be guided through an initial reflection followed by a thorough, full-body warm up. His classes are considered creative high-intensity flows with core work, inversions, and arm balances. When he is not teaching yoga, he is a professional musician and piano teacher. Eugenio has a Ph.D. in Piano Pedagogy and Performance at Texas Tech. Eugenio's hobbies outside of the studio are anything fitness-related, including his most recent passion for weight training and cardio. He is an avid reader and podcast listener. He also loves learning new languages and is currently learning to speak French. Eugenio loves teaching at Yoga Pod for many reasons. He says there is a "familia" like atmosphere along with the management team composed of Jennifer and Stacie, who are always looking for ways to improve the quality of teaching and making sure everyone has what is needed.
